Layout basics
- Separate your sterile workstation area from your waiting/consultation area — clients shouldn't watch equipment being set up.
- A dedicated sterilization station (autoclave, wrapping area) away from client-facing space keeps your workflow and your inspections clean.
- Good, consistent lighting at each station matters more than decor — you're doing precise work for hours at a time.
Before your first client
- Have your consent form, aftercare handout, and cancellation policy written down and ready — deciding these on the fly leads to inconsistency.
- Set up a simple system (even a spreadsheet) to track clients and appointments from day one — it's much harder to backfill later.
